About Chardham Yatra:
Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are the four sacred places of hindu pilgrimage,
known as the char dham yatra,
situated in the high peaks of the himalayas in uttarakhand. All these places are considered highly sacred by the hindu
religion.
It is the ultimate wish of every hindu to visit the sacred temples at least once in their lives to attain moksha.
Pilgrims traditionally first visit yamunotri and gangotri, bring with them the holy waters from the sources of the rivers
yamuna and ganga, and offer abhishekams to kedareshwara.
The char dhams of uttarakhand are also known as the chota char dham of India.
